Specifications:

PCI controller staffed by four internal Serial ATA ports with RAID array configuration options. Using high quality chipset American Society Silicon Image provides seamless compatibility, support for booting and support Hot Plug allowing connection and disconnection of SATA devices during operation. The controller allows you to configure the disk array not only in common modes RAID 0, 1 and 10, but also in a more efficient RAID 5 mode.

Support for RAID 0, 1, 5, 0 and 1:

- RAID 0 (stripping / striping) - less safety but higher performance with alternating write to multiple drives need min. 2 discs,

- RAID 1 (mirroring / mirror) - increased safety through writing identical data to two HDD, needed min. 2 discs,

- RAID 5 (distributed parity RAID / parity striping) - increased safety and increased transmission speed, the need min. 3 discs

- RAID 0 1 / RAID 10 (mirroring stripping) - a combination of striping and mirroring, the least economical solutions needed min. 4 discs

- JBOD (Just a Bunch Of Disks / linear disk volume) - virtual disk associating all connected drives into one.
