Couplers
V současné době dochází k nebývalému rozmachu bezdrátových technologií a WiFi je toho jasným důkazem. Klasické "drátové" rozvody však ještě dlouhou dobu nebudou nahrazeny úplně, především díky vyšší spolehlivosti datového přenosu, než je tomu v případě přenosu bezdrátového. Propojení kabelem s sebou ovšem přináší mnohé problémy a jeden z nejčastějších je nutnost přemístění jednoho z propojených zařízení. V těchto případech však velice často dochází ke zjištění nedostatečné délky propojovacího kabelu a právě tyto situace řeší UTP spojky.
